The establishment of a hardware industrial base is a major innovation in the development of China's hardware industry. With the rise of China's hardware industry, over the past decade, the China Hardware & Tools Association has successively cultivated and named 34 industrial bases, such as: China's Hardware Base City (Jieyang), China's Hardware Products Industry Base (Xiaolan, Zhongshan), China's Faucet Production Base (Shuikou), China's Stainless Steel Products Production Base (Xinhui), China's Metal Shell Lighter Production Base (Wenzhou), China's Lighter Production Base (Xiayi), China's Razor Production Base (Wenzhou), China's Hardware Products Production Base (Yuyao China Faucet Production Base (Yuhuan), China Slide Rail Industry Base (Leliu), China Hinge Industry Base (Leliu), China Tool Industry Base (Jinhua), China Kitchen and Bathroom Accessories Industry Base (Jiangkou, Fenghua), China Shower Room Industry Manufacturing Base (Zhongshan), China Building Hardware Industry Base (Suichang), China Wire Mesh Industry Base (Anping), China Bathroom Accessories Base (Dangshan, Xiaoshan), China Zipper Production Base (Shantou), China Zipper Industry Base (Yiwu), China Hardware Industry Trade City (Hedong, Linyi).
There are five "Hometown of Hardware" in China, namely: "Hometown of Shower Rooms in China" (Xiaoshan Nanyang), "Hometown of Stainless Steel Products in China" (Caitang), "Hometown of Zippers in China" (Qiaotou), "Hometown of Hardware in China" (Yongkang), and "Town of Hardware in China" (Daxin Town). From traditional tool hardware, building hardware and daily-use hardware to emerging gas appliances, range hoods, integrated kitchens and shower rooms, hardware industrial bases have spread across provinces and regions such as Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Fujian, Shandong, Hebei and Henan.
